How do we connect with these children?
All children we assist are recommended by their social worker or oncologist.
Children with long-term illnesses have social workers to help them find assistance with the many extra expenses of being sick with cancer.
Just to have TV in a hospital room can cost up to $5 per day at some institutions.
A sick child should not be denied one of the few forms of
entertainment they can enjoy.
Social workers at pediatric oncology centers evaluate the needs of the patient and the family, and seek our organizations, such as LNF, to fulfill their needs.
